The hammer crusher is suitable for crushing coarse, medium and medium-hard brittle and abrasive materials such as limestone, coal gangue, gypsum and shale with a compressive strength of less than 180 MPa (not exceeding 100 MPa) and a water content of less than 15%. It is also used to crush waste of wood, paper and broken asbestos cement with strong fiber structure, elasticity and toughness to recover asbestos fiber and so on. For such objects, the hammer crusher can be employed in industries like cement, chemical, electric power and metallurgy, able to reduce the materials to a maximum particle size of 600-1800mm, and further squish them down to 25mm or less.
Currently, hammer crushers are divided into two types: light and heavy. The light type (ring hammer crusher) is appropriate for crushing certain secondary materials with Mohs hardness, giving a broken coal ring hammer as its result. Meanwhile, the heavy type (gravel ring hammer crusher) is ideal for materials with a Mohs hardness of less than five grades, producing a gravel ring hammer instead. It is generally noted that the quality of the gravel ring hammer is greater than the mass of the broken coal ring hammer, leading to a significant increase in the impact force, and an inevitable enhancement in the crushing efficiency.
The advantages of hammer crusher are: large crushing ratio (generally 10-25, high up to 50), high production capacity, stable product, low over-powder, low energy consumption per unit of product, simple structure, lightweight equipment, easy operation and maintenance, etc. It is suitable for crushing all kinds of medium hardness and brittle materials, such as limestone, coal, salt, baiya, gypsum, alum, brick, tile, coal gangue, etc.. Anti-compressive strength of the crushed materials does not exceed 150 MPa. Primarily used in cement, coal selection, power generation, building materials and compound fertilizer industries, and other industries, such as cement, coal, building materials and compound fertilizer, it can crush raw materials of different sizes into uniform particles for processing in the next process, with reliable mechanical structure, high production efficiency and good applicability.
The disadvantages of hammer crusher are: quick wear of hammer head and castor screen, long time for maintenance and balance finding, when crushing hard material material, the wear is faster; when crushing sticky and wet material, it is easy to block the castor screen slit, for this reason, cause downtime easily (the water content of material should not exceed 10%). Heavy wear and tear of hammer head and liner when crushing hard materials, consume more metal materials, and need more maintenance time for replacing wearable parts frequently.
The hammer crusher is designed to crush various medium-hard and weakly abrasive materials. The crushing strength of the material does not exceed 100MPa and the moisture content is less than 15%. The material to be crushed is coal, salt, chalk, gypsum, brick and tile, limestone, etc. Ring hammer crusher's main working part is the rotor with hammer head.

Hammer crusher is a machine that can be used in medium and fine crushing of materials with medium hardness such as limestone, slag, coke, and coal. It can be used in industries such as cement, chemical, electric power, metallurgy, etc. It comes in two forms, single rotor and double rotor. The maximum size of the materials that can be crushed by the machine is 600-1800 mm and the size of the crushed materials is 25 mm or less.
